Boston University celebrated Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s memory in a virtual event on Monday. For King, the university is close to home — it’s where he earned his doctorate degree and the city where he met the woman he would marry.

Former BU researcher charged by U.S. Attorney’s Office

Federal authorities announced Tuesday that former Boston University researcher Yanqing Ye was indicted by a grand jury for charges of conspiracy, visa fraud and acting as an agent of a foreign government. Ye was a researcher at BU’s Department of Physics, Chemistry and Biomedical Engineering's Center for Polymer Studies from 2017 to 2019.
