Boston City Council addressed Walgreens shutting down three locations in primarily minority communities and its impact of pharmaceutical inequity Wednesday during their weekly meeting.
An additional 1 million people are now eligible to schedule appointments, according to the press release, but due to “extremely high demand for appointments and limited vaccine supply,” it could take some residents more than a month to schedule one.
Fenway Park will become the second mass vaccination site in the state, joining Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, which first began offering shots mid-January. Vaccines will be distributed at Fenway Park from Feb. 1 until baseball season starts in early April.
