Boston Public Library completes Roxbury Branch renovation

The renovation of the Boston Public Library’s Roxbury Branch finished Tuesday, nearly three years after the project began. The renovation came after years of BPL branch assessments that determined the location did not meet the needs of modern library-goers.

The Boston Planning and Development Agency’s Board of Directors approved an amendment Thursday that allows homeowners in Boston to designate parts of their home as separate, independent units for renters in an effort to combat Boston’s affordable housing crisis.
