Classes suspended for students studying in Italy

BU suspended its Shanghai study abroad program at Fudan University due to the coronavirus outbreak in January. As of recently, however, there has been an increase in the number of cases of coronavirus in Italy, where BU students are studying abroad.

BU has announced that they are officially discouraging all university-sponsored travel to China in an email to the community Feb. 19. The warning comes after the widespread outbreak of the coronavirus, which recently led to the cancellation of BU’s study abroad program in Shanghai.
