Sherrod Blakely will teach a new sports journalism course at Boston University’s College of Communication after the original instructor, Tony Massarotti, pulled out of the position after a racially insensitive remark he made on his radio show resurfaced.
The host of a popular Boston sports radio show is withdrawing from teaching a journalism course at the Boston University College of Communication due to the resurfacing of a racially insensitive comment he made on-air in October.
The Journalism Department in the College of Communication is offering new courses in the spring, which students can now register for during their respective registration times throughout the next two weeks.
