Creating community: A Spring preview of FreeP features

The features section — “featz” for short — has always been a place where student voices are heard. This semester, in a time dominated by a climate crisis, a racial justice movement and a pandemic, the features team will strive to tell those important stories with the student perspective in mind.

Students petition BU to bring back Credit-No Credit for Fall

An online petition launched Friday is urging BU to reinstate for this semester its Credit-No Credit grading policy from the Spring. The policy would allow students to choose between a letter grade or a credit-no credit designation for their classes.

BU professors and students adjust to online science classes, despite challenges

Science classes at BU have struggled without in-person labs, experiential learning and hands-on activities. However, while remote learning is not ideal, professors and students said they have been making the most of it.

Time differences pose a challenge in transition to remote learning

Since BU’s transition to remote learning for the duration of the semester, professors have been instructed to teach at the same time and on the same days as they normally would on-campus. This, however, poses a challenge for many students taking classes at their homes in different time zones.
