Netflix's “Angela’s Christmas” is a perfectly entertaining and cute film that would appeal to very young audiences, but it has been buried under the mountain of new releases.
In the spirit of Halloween, Netflix unveiled its new series, “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” Friday. Equal parts eerie and thrilling, the show takes on a much darker tone than its ‘90s sitcom predecessor, “Sabrina, the Teenage Witch.”
Netflix original “Maniac” is overwhelmingly weird and fills viewers with confusion with constant twists and turns in the plot. The show has provoked strong reactions, and some fans went as far as comparing the show to cult classic “Twin Peaks.”
“Sierra Burgess Is a Loser,” which released Friday on Netflix, feels like a glorified, slightly higher-budget Disney Channel original movie. And as much as I love “High School Musical,” that’s certainly not a compliment. Borderline unwatchable at worst and a hesitant guilty pleasure at best, “Sierra Burgess Is a Loser” tells the story of Sierra, an awkward high school girl who finds herself in an unexpected romance after her classmate, popular cheerleader Veronica, gives Sierra’s number to Jamey, the quarterback of another local high school.
