Shapiro event sparks student protests

About 150 Boston University students — some standing silently, clad in all-black and holding signs with phrases such as “racism kills,” and others shouting chants at attendees — gathered in 27-degree weather outside the Boston University Track and Tennis Center to protest conservative pundit Ben Shapiro’s talk Wednesday night.

The Callbacks celebrate 10 years of laughs on campus

In 2009, a group of students auditioned for a comedy group at Boston University, and in spite of being “called back,” weren’t accepted. Instead of feeling defeated, these students made their own comedy troupe called — wait for it — The Callbacks.
