The Boston University women’s soccer season ended Sunday after Louisiana State University eliminated BU (11-7-4, 7-0-2 Patriot League) from the NCAA Tournament in a penalty kick decision, becoming the first NCAA match in nine years to require the tie breaker.

Despite strong offensive pressure throughout the game, the Boston University women’s soccer team tied with Dartmouth College Sunday afternoon through double overtime. Neither school produced a goal.
