Four times the No. 8 Terriers (0-2) have faced the No. 11 Mavericks (2-0) over the last two seasons, and four times BU has left the rink with a tally in the loss column.

The No. 8 Boston University men’s hockey team started off the Albie O’Connell era with the Terriers (0-1) dropping the season opener to No. 11 Minnesota State University 4-3.

After the then-No. 2 Boston University men’s hockey team tied University of Prince Edward Island in a scrimmage at the start of the 2017-18 season, the team limped off to 4-6-1 start before rejuvenating itself in the second half of the season en route to a deep postseason run.
