Ibram X. Kendi, author, activist and founder of the BU Center for Antiracist Research, is leaving BU after five years, and CAR will close June 30 when its charter with the University expires, according to a Jan. 30 announcement.

Panelists from Lawyers for Civil Rights, Massachusetts Voter Table and Worcester Interfaith spoke on the necessity for grouping residents in districts with the same vested interests.
The proposal comes from Rooted in Roxbury, a local minority-owned cannabis company. Although Newbury Street hosts tobacco and pipe retailers, there are currently no dispensaries on the strip.
“We know that the climate crisis of course is a public health crisis, and that the investments we need to make in resiliency and sustainability are opportunities to improve health and the economic well-being of our residents," Campbell said.
