Control over your personal finances is a concern that I, as a liberal, believe to be a multi-partisan issue. No matter how you vote or what you believe in, your money should be yours, without anyone else’s control over it.
The people, a collective force, are the ones who create change. We come together to protest, strike and vote for progressive action. If we cannot join forces across the spectrum of political ideologies, then this intolerance will only hamper our nation’s growth. We can have no progress without conversation.
If we are able to exorcise Trump from office, your conservative friends will still be conservative, and that’s still gross. Stop being friends with gross people, or at the very least, stop bragging about your email exchanges with them on Twitter.
While discussing politics isn’t meant for elementary children, we can start instilling from a young age the idea that everyone's opinion is valid. You don’t need a political affiliation to understand that.
