From the opening tip, the energy inside Case Gym was palpable. With a spot in the Patriot League Tournament final on the line, the Terriers jumped out to a 21-point lead late in the first half and led by 18 at the break.
Despite the cushion, the second-seeded Boston University men’s basketball team (16-17, 10-8 PL) fell to the sixth seed, Lehigh University (14-17, 9-9 PL), 84-79 in overtime.
The women’s basketball team dropped their final contest of their regular season to Colgate University 77-40, ending their bid for the first seed going into the Patriot League tournament to fall to the third.
Having already clinched a spot in the Patriot League Tournament with last week’s win at Bucknell University, the Boston University men’s soccer team replaced Loyola University Maryland at the top of the league table with one game left in the regular season after defeating them 3-1 on Saturday.
