The opioid epidemic is significantly affecting the economy of Massachusetts, losing at least $.25 billion annually due to lost productivity in the workforce, according to a report released Wednesday by the Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation.

In a crowded room of people, nearly half the audience raised their hands simultaneously. Some timid and others bold, those with raised hands united in the fact that they had personal connections to the opioid crisis.
