Summer Study Abroad canceled amid lack of resources, safety concerns

Gareth McFeely, executive director of Study Abroad, said the decision was motivated by the same pandemic-related concerns that prevented the University from running the program last summer.
Boston University’s study abroad programs were canceled in all European cities, including Paris, after the Centers for Disease Control issued a travel ban for the continent on March 11. Study abroad students sent home amid COVID-19 outbreak

All study abroad programs were canceled by BU Global Programs in light of the global coronavirus outbreak. Students will continue courses and fulfill internship credits remotely, according to an email from Executive Director of Study Abroad Gareth McFeely.
