BU professors and students adjust to online science classes, despite challenges

Science classes at BU have struggled without in-person labs, experiential learning and hands-on activities. However, while remote learning is not ideal, professors and students said they have been making the most of it.

Remote learning poses challenges and teaches lessons

In the wake of increasing concerns about the spread of COVID-19, BU announced the suspension of all in-person classes through the end of the semester in an email on March 17. The university began the transition to remote learning methods starting this week.
