Field hockey wins Patriot League, moves on to NCAA tournament

The No. 22 Boston University field hockey team won the Patriot League conference title, capping off an undefeated season by defeating Lafayette College Friday afternoon and American University Sunday afternoon in the championship game,, and will move the team onto its 14th NCAA Tournament appearance.

Boston University field hockey went 1-1 to close out its 2018 regular season slate, downing in-conference foe the College of the Holy Cross Friday before losing in Sunday’s match to rival Boston College.
