GPA policy causes housing insecurity among RAs

An RA signed her contract for the following year. Then, she was fired. Guensly Desir was all set to RA for the 2023-24 academic year. That was until she got fired less than a week before the semester started due to the enforcement of a GPA policy.

Part-time faculty consists of adjuncts, lecturers and instructors. Collectively, part-time faculty unionized in 2015 and are still raising awareness about their current job instability, low wages and lack of institutional support as they feel that BU is unresponsive to their needs.

BU service workers vote to authorize strike if negotiations fail
