The Department of Justice’s newly-created Federal Task Force to Combat Antisemitism announced Feb. 28 it would visit Harvard University and nine other universities to investigate antisemitism incidents on campus.

Boston University’s Hillel and Catholic Center are encouraging students to apply to a new, ten-session learning cohort open to all students that focuses on Jewish and Catholic faith, offering free meals and a $300 stipend to enrollees.

“Yentl” is Barbra Streisand’s criminally underrated 1983 directorial film debut set in turn-of-the-20th-century Poland. After her father (or “Papa”) dies, Yentl, the titular character played by Babs, decides to disguise herself as a man to study Talmudic law at a Jewish school called a Yeshiva. At school, she meets the ambitious Avigdor, who is in love with Hadass, a local girl. During the film, the three enter a love triangle complicated by Yentl’s gender secret.

OP-ED: The Mapping Project being awful notwithstanding, Zionism is still a colonial project

Yonaton Manor was correct that the Mapping Project is antisemitic. But as the criticisms of the project linked above indicate, this is not specifically because of the Mapping Project’s anti-Zionism. Rather, it is because the project blames Jewish community institutions for a range of social ills including general US imperialism, militarized policing and gentrification.
