What’s love got to do with it? Unconventional romance movies for Valentine’s Day

Sometimes, we’re looking for something a little different that breaks outside of the mold of the traditional boy-meets-girl tropes and plot beats. So, here are five — actually, seven — Valentine’s Day movies that range from slightly unique to unequivocally odd.

BU alum channels military brat childhood experiences into new fiction novel

Michael Joseph Lyons spent his childhood traveling around the world as he moved with his family. Lyons spent time as a military brat in post-World War II Asia and Europe, and as an adult, Lyons used his experiences to write his new book "BRAT and the Kids of Warriors.”
