In times of crisis, nothing beats finding people you can lean on and commiserate with. The COVID-19 pandemic has showcased who our true friends are, taught us how to deal with interpersonal conflict and reminded us to be mindful of others.
While the COVID-19 pandemic has been devastating on many fronts, it has hopefully compelled people to be more mindful about their individual choices and impacts. This newfound urgency and self-agency can help us make inroads in solving other pressing issues.
We should commit ourselves to simply figuring out how someone talks beyond linguistic boundaries so the signs they send don’t get lost in transmission.
