Michael Horrell, a staff attorney at Prisoners’ Legal Services of Massachusetts — an organization focused on protecting civil rights of people in prisons — said the pandemic has worsened the quality of health care in the state’s correctional facilities, which has “never been great.”
Boston University has been given approval to start sequencing all positive COVID-19 tests to scan for the newly identified variants of the disease, according to a member of BU’s Medical Advisory Group.
After suffering from major declines in revenue since the pandemic began, Boston businesses will continue implementing services and safety measures to keep customers safe for the holiday shopping season.
“The time stands still,’” said Cynthia Goldberg, the director of the F8 Foundation. “The moment you see your family, you feel as if you're taken off of life support and you can breathe.”
“We're not going back to that period of time where people just look the other way, and these deaths were swept under the rug,” organizer Brock Satter said. “We need to demand these cases be reopened, these officers and all these officials be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
