Senate passes resolutions, confirms positions in penultimate meeting

OneBU wins SG election, UNITY party gains most seats

The OneBU slate won the election for next year’s SG Executive Board and the UNITY Party secured the most Senate seats in at-large elections, according to an email to BU students sent Wednesday from Hafzat Akanni, current student body president and senior in the CAS.

Boston University’s Student Government elected a new Senate Chair for the 2020-2021 academic year to replace Karla Leon, the current chair and junior in the College of Arts and Sciences, in a Zoom meeting Monday night.

Senate discusses donation of funds, passes Emergency Powers Act

In a virtual meeting on Zoom Monday night, SG discussed the allocation of the semester’s remaining funds, passed the Emergency Powers Act, and heard updates from SEC.
