An apple a day keeps the one percent at bay | Mad Women

Hailey Pitcher March 19, 2025
It’s hard to reconcile the fact that food — quite literally the bottom of the hierarchy of needs — would become political. The prices of basic pantry and fridge essentials, such as eggs, are being jacked up to record highs.

Nicole Lee November 18, 2024
In Texas? BBQ. In Chicago? A hot dog. But in Boston, seafood is the catch — more specifically — lobster. This beady crustacean, packaged in a bright red shell, is sought after by the palettes of locals and tourists alike.

Say goodbye to letting relationships dictate your self-confidence | My Heart Will Go On

Lily Smokler April 9, 2024
Relationships can teach you how to fall in love with yourself. They provide someone else’s perspective as a lens to view yourself in ways that you wouldn’t have otherwise. Once you lose that relationship, it causes you to lose that confidence because the person who once reassured you, is no longer there. This became difficult for me, as the pressure that I placed on my relationship had derived from my deeper insecurities to begin with.

Brunch deserves its hype

Rachel Yu November 15, 2023
Brunch is typically served from around 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., serving as the perfect meal in between the ordinary breakfast and lunch times. One of my favorite parts of going to a restaurant in this time range is looking at their brunch menus, as they combine both the breakfast and lunch options –– providing you with a larger variety of dishes to choose from.
