Analise Bruno April 4, 2025
Whether it's your 36th wedding anniversary, your 16th birthday or even your 55th anniversary of establishing that one newspaper — milestones come in all forms — these dates are worth acknowledging.

The language of flowers

Isabella Panichi April 2, 2025
Sometimes the occasion for giving flowers is just because — just because you love someone, just because you were thinking of them or just because you’re there.

Music to help you reset over spring break | Liv Listens

Olivia Stapleton March 6, 2025
Whether you're traveling somewhere warm, heading home or staying in Boston, I want to encourage everyone — no matter how busy you might still be — to take spring break as an opportunity to do the same as me and take some time for yourself. I’ve picked some relaxing songs with spring vibes to get into that fresh start and warmer weather mindset.

Decentering romantic relationships

Chloe Saint Mard February 10, 2025
Somewhere along the line, we were sold the idea that romantic love is the ultimate prize and that being single is some kind of failure. We’ve been conditioned to think that if you're not in a relationship, you're somehow incomplete. But, here’s the truth — romantic love is just one kind of love. It’s not the centerpiece of life unless you make it that way. Honestly, that’s a pretty fragile foundation to build your happiness on.

Ask Abby (Or Analise): Crushing It in class without crashing and burning

Analise Bruno February 9, 2025
Having a class crush is far more interesting but even more challenging in college than in high school. My roommates used to joke that the first day of class was always a big game of smash or pass.

Ask Abby (Or Analise): Networking your way into someone’s heart

Analise Bruno February 2, 2025
No one really thinks of turning to LinkedIn, and I can’t really blame them — it’s academic-facing, and has always come across as being “strictly business.” Yet, the more I toiled with the idea of LinkedIn being a one-stop shop for all things romance, I couldn’t help but wonder: could this be the revolutionary answer to modern dating troubles?

Dystopian flower shop | Things I’ve Learned From Strangers

Lili Culhane February 21, 2024
Walking into the flower shop was like walking through a tunnel in a dystopian novel. Not because there was anything haunting about it, but because it was dark, cavernous, humid and at the end of a long hallway was a little room with a check-out desk and skylight.

Ask Abby (Or Analise): Love is not actually blind — here’s how to master Valentine’s Day

Analise Bruno February 13, 2024
Dear Abby: Is there ever a “right” way to do Valentine’s Day? The date is quickly approaching and I don’t know how to go about this. Romance is pretty new to me, but there’s someone I like. Please help.

A trip to the tropics: BU Hawaiian Night

Nicole Lee November 13, 2023
On Nov. 7, BU Hawaiian Cultural Association took us all on a trip to the tropics of Hawaii. After scanning my ID and stepping through the gates of Warren Dining hall, I was given a lei with flowers of vibrant blue, and ready for my challenge at hand. The menu for the night was vast, and it was my conquest to try it all.
