John Bello, who founded beverage company SoBe in 1995, visited to his alma mater Friday evening to speak about his career in front of a packed campus auditorium. Jonathan Allen was asked to share tips and tricks for managing student governments and affairs six years ago when he served as student body president for Grambling State University. That question would lead Allen, currently a third-year law student at Boston University’s School of Law and a fellow at Harvard Law School’s Charles Hamilton Houston Institute for Race and Justice, to create the nonprofit The Leadership Brainery.

City Hall Plaza was filled by young entrepreneurs and businesspeople earlier this week as the hub of Boston held the 2018 Forbes 30 Under 30 summit. Opened by a star-studded concert that featured performers such as Marshmello and Russ, the fifth annual summit also featured discussions by former and current politicians, musicians, activists and CEOs.
