Boston University Professor receives MacArthur Fellowship

Boston University Professor of Law Danielle Citron was named a MacArthur Fellow on Wednesday, an accolade awarded annually to U.S. citizens or residents working in any field that demonstrates “promise for important future advances” and “exceptional creativity,” according to the MacArthur Fellows website.

Artificial intelligence conference explores darkside of technology with ‘threat to democracy’ conference

Award-winning journalists, students, professors and other experts congregated at Northeastern University’s Raytheon Amphitheater Friday to explore a dark side to artificial intelligence: deep fakes. The conference, titled “AI, Media and the Threat to Democracy,” addressed the rise of AI in the media and its role in democracy.
