StuGov launches COVID-19 oversight committee, aims to hold University accountable

The ad hoc committee has stated its intent to report issues with BU’s COVID-19 response to the administration as well as the Senate to find solutions, according to the committee website.

BU StuGov passed a resolution endorsing a petition to reintroduce Spring semester’s Credit-No Credit policy this Fall, as well as ratified BU’s membership in the Boston Intercollegiate Government, in a Zoom meeting Monday night.

Students petition BU to bring back Credit-No Credit for Fall

An online petition launched Friday is urging BU to reinstate for this semester its Credit-No Credit grading policy from the Spring. The policy would allow students to choose between a letter grade or a credit-no credit designation for their classes.

BU announces optional credit/no credit designation for Spring courses

BU announced its decision to allow undergraduate students to make a credit/no credit designation to their courses March 27 in an email from the Office of the Provost. The decision comes after BU was forced to transition to remote learning for the rest of the semester amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
