Though the COVID-19 pandemic has fundamentally changed college life, many students said they find it safe to still travel off campus thanks to BU’s comprehensive health guidelines.

BU’s COVID-19 testing and attestation enforcement policy allows faculty to request all students show a green-colored badge indicating compliance with safety requirements before entering class. Some professors teaching in-person classes have been relying on the honor system instead.

Seven questions concerning symptoms previously associated with COVID-19 on BU’s symptom attestation survey were removed over Labor Day weekend, bringing the total number of questions down from 15 to eight.

What happens if you test positive for COVID-19 at Boston University?

Students who test positive at a University testing site are moved straight to isolation housing without first receiving a second test for confirmation. Once in isolation, they are monitored by health care professionals and are provided with food.
