A mother is a walking miracle | All Thanks to You

Sophia Keohane April 7, 2025
I guess I’ve won the lottery if I’m anything like that — she is undeniably epic. She’s a hard worker with a great sense of humor. She’s loving, kind and has inspired me to become the woman that I am today.

Keys to joyful employment

Sophia Keohane April 1, 2025
Say goodbye to the panicked version of me, searching for something I don’t want, and say hello to a girl who has a thing or two to say on joyful employment.

A typical Sunday in New York City: Soaked, hungry and no reservations

Nino Machavariani March 2, 2025
This is my favorite part of any city day — leaning back in your seat and watching the world pass by through the train window. Bonus points if the sun is setting as it's the perfect way to wrap up the day.

Little bets

Sophia Keohane February 4, 2025
I could have missed out on big lessons and big wins because I decided not to take a risk. Maybe that’s the riskiest thing of all. Because who knows — my $5 could turn into $500, $1000 or a billion dollars. Probably not a billion, but still — little bets can go a long way.

It’s a Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy winter!

Chloe Saint Mard January 29, 2025
Now that “brat summer” has had its time, I declare Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy season officially open. Her style — effortless and undeniably chic — is a timeless blueprint for the colder weather, with a sort of elegance that speaks quietly but powerfully. In fact, Bessette-Kennedy never gave an interview — she always let her clothes do the talking.

Mr. and Mrs. Campeón | Things I’ve Learned From Strangers

Lili Culhane March 6, 2024
There’s no way to adequately describe the pure bliss of sipping a Cuban coffee. You’ve just got to try it. My first sip was at this little mom and pop shop just around the corner from Enrique’s place. The sweet, old couple that ran it stood behind the counter catching up with Enrique in Spanish. The old man handed Enrique a styrofoam cup of liquid and four tiny, empty cups for sharing. Enrique thanked him, calling him “Campeón” as he walked to meet us at the table that my parents and I had grabbed in the corner.

My home is Dunkin’ | Things I’ve Learned From Strangers

Lili Culhane October 25, 2023
The pieces of Dunkin’ that out-of-towners might think help it maintain its popularity are often misinformed hypotheses. It is not the intense sugar-rush that their syrups provide, nor is it the way they keep us on our toes as we gamble whether the first sip will be sweet, sweet paradise or like licking the butt of a cigarette. What is the home that your local Dunkin’ makes for you?

“Gilmore Girls” aesthetic and the fueled romanticization of fall

Isabella Panichi October 17, 2023
There is something about autumn that induces the feminine urge to buy an expensive coffee or tea, read books, study well and maybe fall in love.

Drink coffee, economically

Rachel Zhong October 5, 2023
Coffee is not only for my 8 a.m., it’s for everyday classes and even the weekends. I may have pretended to be the lady boss walking down Commonwealth Ave. holding a Starbucks cup, and that’s when I knew coffee was a lifestyle — a quite expensive one.

A Love Letter to Work Study

Isabella Lapriore September 17, 2023
Some people join clubs, others join frats and sororities — all of which are great ways to find community and a sense of belonging. But for me, something about working with the same people every week for a semester, and then getting to meet new ones as the schedule changes every semester is the best kind of instant connection made.
