Boston City Council did not pass, nor discuss, a cease-fire resolution during Wednesday’s meeting, spurring questions as neighboring cities pass resolutions while Boston stays silent.
Vice President Kamala Harris was in Boston on Thursday to meet with members of the registered apprenticeship program, a government-run career pathways program, ahead of next week’s national apprenticeship week, but was met by hundreds of protesters later in the afternoon.
City councilors discussed a resolution to stand with the people of Israel and a resolution calling for immediate deescalation and a cease-fire in Israel and Palestine during Wednesday’s city council meeting.
