Boston University President Robert Brown announced in an email to students and parents Friday that the University plans to hold in-person classes this Fall, citing increased vaccination distribution.
It’s understandable that the government was unprepared for the crisis and vaccine supplies are low nationwide. It’s up to Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and the federal government to increase supply to meet the demands. However, the state should re-evaluate its distribution plan so it is more equitable for all.
Boston University is currently moving forward with COVID-19 vaccinations of students with two or more medical conditions, but the process is experiencing setbacks from a limited supply, said a BU Medical Advisory Group member.
Boston University students will have to pay a full $600 housing deposit to reserve on-campus living spaces for the 2021- 2022 school year by the end of February.
