There’s this guy who is a stranger, but maybe less of a stranger than strangers usually are. He is an acquaintance. A friend of a friend, if you will. And maybe that is closer than stranger territory, but the fact that I don’t know him very well counts for something.
However, there is still hope for those men who can find their way back to their emotional selves and rethink the stigma that has surrounded them. We should make more of an effort to understand the men who were injured psychologically, rather than judge them.
So many female celebrities get hate from other women for similarly arbitrary reasons, and it all comes from internalized misogyny. It is time to stop this ugly behavior of women tearing down other women and leave it behind in middle school.
