Boston University’s Advisory Committee on Socially Responsible Investing is currently conducting a five-year consideration of fossil fuel divestment to make a recommendation to the board of trustees, which endorsed a review of policies in 2016.

BU adds additional recycling bins in West Campus

Trash, food waste and mixed recycling bins are now available on every floor that has a trash room in Claflin Hall, Rich Hall and Sleeper Hall. Previously, West Campus residences had recycling on only one floor of each building.

BU alumnus gives talk on international climate battle

Abramowitz — a Boston University alumnus who graduated in 1986 — gave a talk titled “Earth Day, Israel, Africa, and How to Win the Climate Battle” to the BU community Tuesday evening, in which he discussed solar energy and sustainability efforts in Israel and Africa.

BU green initiatives host C40 speaker to address tools for cities fighting climate change

On Friday, the Initiative on Cities partnered with the Department of Environmental Health and the Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future to host a talk entitled “Air Quality Data to Action: Case Studies and Strategies from New York City and C40 Cities.”
