State refuses to clarify medical marijuana laws despite concerns

The Massachusetts State Legislature will not be clarifying medical marijuana laws this congressional session despite an April 17 Supreme Judicial Court ruling that raised concerns with the Commonwealth’s current legislation.

Small, private New England colleges saw drop in enrollment over past 20 years

A review of enrollment statistics over the past 20 years found that 20 percent of the 118 four-year, private colleges in New England have seen their enrollment drop by at least 10 percent, The Boston Globe reported.

Commercial marijuana permits now available for business in the Commonwealth

The application process for priority certification of legal marijuana businesses began Monday, according to the Cannabis Control Commission, yet another stride toward the commercial sale of recreational marijuana, which is expected to begin July 1.
The Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority, a state student loan agency, has broken off its memberships with the National Council of Higher Education Resources. Healey, legislators urge limited summer marijuana rollout
