College of Fine Arts seniors Angela Lian and Jay Li — the newly selected artists in residence for Innovate@BU’s 2021 IDEA Conference — plan to create a permanent exhibit at the BUild lab inspired by their desire to encourage students to slow down and appreciate time.
This fall, Innovate@BU and the BUild Lab are introducing the inaugural Community Impact Challenge, which provides BU students the opportunity to develop ideas that promote community well-being on campus.
Since the Fall semester began, students, faculty and staff have been wearing face masks on campus to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. But now, these coverings have also taken on a new, non-protective purpose: they’re art.
The LfA system plans to drastically change the way students and faculty interact with one another. However, The New Normal Challenge encourages students themselves to envision ways to improve other areas of campus life, such as student wellness, on-campus transport and social life.
