Following BU’s decision to proceed with its hybrid model in the Spring semester, some on-campus students are looking to stay over winter break while others are planning to return after spending the Fall semester at home.
BU parents submitted an email Sept. 24 to senior leadership — including President Robert Brown, DOS Kenneth Elmore and SHS Director Judy Platt, among others — requesting more support for students’ mental health and emotional well-being.
HoJo consists largely of triple rooms, each with air-conditioning and a private bathroom. Students were told that they will be relocated to a room of the same standard.
BU has begun relocating students previously assigned to triples and quads to new spaces, as part of its initiative to create a safer campus when students return in Fall.
The start of the semester floor meeting is a familiar ritual to Boston University’s undergraduate student population. An opportunity to meet housemates and resident assistants, the hour usually carries little consequence. However, this was not the case for BU student Jake S. this fall.
