Boston University employee Jared May is under fire after he posted online Monday about six young employees of President Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency, garnering national attention and outrage.
May, an assistant media technician for the Questrom School of Business, posted to Blue Sky Social at 7:42 a.m. Monday that the six DOGE employees — Akash Bobba, Edward Coristine, Luke Farritor, Gautier Cole Killian, Gavin Kliger and Ethan Shaotran — are “the men carrying out Musk’s coup.”
Five of the six employees are pictured with the words “Wanted for Treason, Dead or Alive.”
DOGE is a new governmental agency whose purpose is “to implement the President’s DOGE Agenda, by modernizing Federal technology and software to maximize governmental efficiency and productivity,” according to an executive order establishing the department.
Musk commented on an X post from the account “Libs of TikTok” about May.
“He has committed a crime,” Musk wrote.
May’s staff profile page is no longer visible on the Questrom website. His LinkedIn profile is down.
“We are aware of a post made by an employee on his personal social media account,” BU Spokesperson Colin Riley wrote in an email to The Daily Free Press. “We do not comment on personnel matters. The views expressed do not reflect the values of Questrom Business School.”
On Tuesday, conservative media personality Charlie Kirk posted a screenshot of May’s post to X and condemned the University for employing May.
“Boston University should lose ALL federal grants and funding if May isn’t fired immediately,” Kirk wrote.
Edward Martin Jr., U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, posted a statement to X saying the initial review of the evidence indicates certain individuals or groups “committed acts that appear to violate the law in targeting DOGE employees.”
“We are in contact with FBI and other law-enforcement partners to proceed rapidly,” the statement says. “We also have our prosecutors preparing.”

Pot calling the kettle black. Musk (the ‘free speech absolutist’ who survives by purchasing his way out of being prosecuted for his own crimes) wants people who don’t like him to be prosecuted for declaring publicly that they do not like him.

Why is it a problem to identify DOGE employees? Identities of government workers in other agencies are a matter of Public record, along with salaries.
